Guardian Automotive Inc., a component subsidiary of Guardian Industrial Group, a North American automotive glass manufacturer. A few days ago, the company announced that it would close its manufacturing plant in Nasi, USA.

The factory closed by Guardian Automotive is located in the southern part of Ripley, Naxi, USA. Its name is Siegel-Robert.

The closure of the company will be completed by the end of 2008, which will affect the employment of nearly 525 local employees. According to Auto Design Network, the company will not provide follow-up demobilization services for unemployed employees.

Guardian Automotive acquired Siegel-Robert in May this year. Siegel-Robert has three factories in Tennessee, two in Ripley, mainly producing front-end grilles and door handles, automotive accessories and spraying parts, and one in Newborn.

Siegel-Robert's plant in the northern part of Ripley, employing about 350 to 400 people, will continue to open up production.

Siegel-Robert's business plunged by 20% due to recent weak demand for trucks and SUVs in the North American market and recent strikes. As a small automotive parts manufacturer, it is obvious that it has no ability to resist large-scale risks. This is also the main reason for the closure of the plant.
